Penn Fems Menstrual Care Packing Event

In partnership with Gentle Gratitude and the Penn Women’s Center, Penn Fems is hosting a collaborative care package assembly and facilitated dialogue event to support a local Philadelphia women’s shelter. 

Undergraduate students will assemble essential hygiene packages containing a week’s supply of menstrual products, personal care items, and toiletries, while participating in structured conversations! 

Rather than an assembly line, this event integrates intentional civic dialogue into the packing process. Facilitators (board members) will lead small-group discussions using guided prompts centered on period poverty, healthcare equity, and the role of Penn students in the broader West Philadelphia community.
