Repro Book Club: Policing the Womb

Join Reproductive Freedom for All for the launch of our Q2 Repro Book Club, a monthly virtual space to learn, connect, and build power together through shared reading and discussion.

For our second quarter reading, we’ll be reading Policing the Womb by Michele Goodwin. Policing the Womb" by Michele Goodwin exposes the alarming ways American law has turned pregnancy into a crime, prosecuting women for miscarriages, stillbirths, and personal choices made during pregnancy. This eye-opening book is essential reading for anyone who cares about reproductive justice, civil liberties, and the future of bodily autonomy in America.
Together, we’ll explore:

  • How does criminalization show up beyond abortion bans?
  • What groups are most harmed by pregnancy policing?
  • How can organizers better explain these harms to the public?

You do not need to finish the book to attend. Whether you’ve read the whole thing, skimmed a few chapters, or just want to listen and learn, you are welcome.
This is a community-centered, discussion-based space—perfect for longtime advocates and folks newer to the movement alike.

When you RSVP, we will send you an email with information about how to join the event. The information will also be available on this page. This invitation is non-transferable. For safety, please do not share the location information or Zoom link with others. If you would like to invite friends, they must RSVP themselves. Your name on Zoom must match the name you provided on this registration.
